High Level Events

The CTI holds regular high level events, usually in the margins of UN Human Rights Council meetings in Geneva and the UN General Assemby in New York

The CTI high level events provide opportunities for states to affirm their commitment to the prohibition and prevention of torture on the international stage. They also provide an opportunity to celebrate when states have taken steps towards ratification and implementation of the Convention and to encourage other states to follow suit.

Details of past high level events are set out below.
