LIVE STREAMED AT UN WEB TV – JULY 13, 2020

Due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the Committee against Torture held its 69th session entirely virtual from 13 to 30 July.

On 13 July, the Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) delivered a 15-minute public statement emphasising UNCAT’s relevance and the work of the Committee in these exceptional Covid-19 times.

The joint statement will be delivered by H.E. Frank Tressler, Permanent Representative of Chile to the United Nations in Geneva and H.E. Hasan Kleib, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to the United Nations in Geneva, on behalf of the CTI core States. 

The Committee’s online session will be livestreamed on Monday 13 July, from 13:00-15:00 at: http://webtv.un.org/.
