CTI-DIGNITY discussion paper on rehabiliation for victims of torture now available

On 23-24 June 2016, the CTI held a regional meeting on the rehabilitation of torture survivors for countries in the OSCE region. The event was hosted by the Government of Denmark as part of the core group of the CTI, and held in partnership with the German Chairmanship of the OSCE and with DIGNITY – Danish Institute Against Torture.

More than 60 participants took part, including from 24 OSCE countries participated, together with rehabilitation practitioners sharing their experiences and challenges. Discussions centred on the need for holistic State-led efforts to rehabilitate victims of torture and the multi-faceted approaches to rehabilitation.

The discussion paper, prepared by DIGNITY for the CTI, which formed the basis of discussions in Copenhagen, is now available.
