Samoa “in focus” is out!

The latest entry in CTI’s “States parties in focus” blog series explores Samoa’s experiences in ratifying the UN Convention against Torture (UNCAT) in 2019, and looks at the Government’s priorities and plans.

Released ahead of CTI’s Pacific regional online workshop hosted by Fiji, a CTI Core State, the blog highlights the positive steps taken by Samoa to implement UNCAT domestically, such as bolstering training for police and law enforcement personnel, and strengthening monitoring mechanisms to reinforce anti-torture efforts.
